While doing your Saturday morning shopping you’re surrounded by people. Couples walking hand in hand, smiling and chatting. As you look at them you wonder how they met. Were they shopping, doing the laundry or browsing an internet dating site?
Whatever the case, inside you wish that it was you that were a part of a twosome. Rest assured that everyone has felt this way at one point or another in their life. There are still many who happen to still feel this way. They wonder why it is that they have yet to find the special someone. It seems to be a healthy part of nature. You grow up, go to school, get a job and fall in love.
After the falling in love part comes marriage and the baby carriage; or so you thought. Life seems to have other plans for you, but don’t give up! By keeping a positive attitude, it’s really just a matter of time before you meet someone to call your own.
While you’re on your quest for a partner, you still need to live your life to the fullest So take advantage of your single status and do the things that you might not be able to do if you were part of a couple.
1.Travel at a moment’s notice. Let’s say you have friend who has an extra ticket to a major event, but you have to travel out of town to get there. As a single person, you can go without feeling as though you have hurt someone’s feelings.
2. You can date as many people as you like. As a single man or woman you can date a few people at a time until you make the choice to settle down with one person.
3. You don’t have to share your living and sleeping space. Nor do you have to share the TV remote and no one hogs your blankets. You can please yourself with music and stay up as late as you want.
4. If your plans suddenly change because you have a last minute invitation to dinner or a party, you don’t have to phone home to let anyone know.
5. Depending on your budget, you can eat out as much as you like or stay home and cook your own meals. Once again, you can please yourself. And that applies to your level of home tidiness too.
Although many of these things mention above may sound selfish, they are things to consider when dating. Knowing that you can do what you want when being single and knowing this changes slightly when you are involved could help one know that life does change and help them to adjust themselves accordingly. This way, when you do finally meet that special someone you might be more willing to inform them of your whereabouts.
It could also help you make the decision as to whether or not you are ready to date at all. Dating when with the right person can be an amazing experience, but you should try to enjoy and make the most of your single life while waiting to meet the love of your life.
